This memo, co-signed by Cristina Gonzalez, Dean of Graduate Studies and Patricia Kearney, Executive Director for Student Housing and Financial Aid, requires all graduate students file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form establishes financial need for students.

Expansion of GSR and Non-Student PGR Salary Tables
June 4, 2002

This letter from Richard C. Atkinson, President expands salary table for the Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) title from six steps to ten steps, effective July 1, 2002. It also expands the table used for the Non-Student PGR title code from 10 steps to 17 steps.

Clarification of Fee remissions
for graduate students who terminate their appointment during a quarter.

This directive provides clarification on the application of fee remissions for students with academic appointments who terminate their appointment during the course of an academic quarter. It provides guidelines regarding the amount of the fee remission the student may be liable for and the amount of the fee remission that the appointing department may be liable for.
