number 14: academic basis/paid over Academic basis is '11' and appointment paid over is '12' for title codes 1511, 3240, 3253, 3282. Academic basis and appointment paid over should be blank for title codes 9995 and 3254. Academic basis is '9' and appointment paid over is '9' or '12' for title codes 1501, 1506, 2310. Academic basis and appointment paid over are not checked for the rest of the Graduate Studies title codes. |

number 15: appointment/distribution begin date Appointment begin date must be less than or equal to the distribution date associated with each of the appointments. Appointment end date and distribution date cannot be NULL. Appointment end date must be greater than or equal to the distribution date associated with each of the appointments. |

number 17: % full time Total appointment percent for all appointments can never be over 100%. When checking for total appointment percent, ignore all future appointments (appointment begin date greater than current run date). Use all active appointments title codes (Graduate Studies title codes + non-Graduate Studies title codes). Total % for each appointment should be zero for title code 3254. This title code is a "without salary" appointment. Total % for each appointment is not checked for title code 9995. Total % for each appointment should not be zero for all the other Graduate Studies title codes. Total % of all appointments can be up to 100% for title codes 3240, 3253, 3370. Total appointment % for title code 3240 cannot be greater then 50% when this title code is combined with another academic title code. Total % of all appointments is less than or equal to 50% for all other Graduate Studies title codes. During the summer (7/1/ to 9/30) total appointment % for these title codes can be over 50% but never more than 100% . |

Then the pay schedule for that appointment should be entered. Pay schedule is always "MO" for title codes 1501, 1506, 1511, 2310, 3240, 3253, 3254, 3282, 9995. Pay schedule is always BLANK for title code 3370 and DOS code WOS. Pay schedule is always "MO" for title code 3370 and DOS code REG. Distribution department code may not exist in the department look up translation table. If the distribution department code does not existed in the department look up translation table (CTVHME), use the home department code for the department on the report. Home department code may not exist in the department look up translation table. If the home department code does not existed in the department look up translation table, use 'DEPT: XXXXXX' (XXXXXX is the home department code) as the department name on the report. |

number 28: chart - not blank Chart cannot be blank. Chart must be one character length long. The database stores a dash for chart when chart is blank. |

Total distribution % for an appointment is equal to the appointment percent within plus/minus 1% of a 100% and no more than 100% for title codes 3240, 3253, 3370. Total distribution % cannot be greater 50% for 3240, 3253 when either title code is combined with another academic title code. Total distribution % for an appointment should be zero for title code 3254 (without salary title code). Total distribution % is not checked for 9995. Total distribution % for an appointment is equal to the appointment percent and no more than 50% for all other title codes. Total distribution % can be over 50% but never more than 100% during the summer (7/1 to 9/30). Appointment % uses two decimal digits, distribution % uses four decimal digits, truncate distribution % to two decimal digits. |

number 35: step (EDBDIS. DIST_STEP) HOLD Required only with 3240 (PGR) -step must be 1-17. 3282 (GSR) must be 1-10. Student status (EDBPER.STUDENT_STATUS) code = 4. All others blank. Step needs to match title (EDBAPP.TITLE_CODE), Appt Annual/Hourly Rate and Monthly Rate (EDBAPP.PAY_RATE) All other TC not check. |

number 36: pay period rate/amount: (EDBDIS.PAY_RATE) HOLD Title codes for GSR, TA, PGR, Associate In and visiting postdoctoral scholars (1501, 1506, 1511, 2310, 3240, 3253, 3282, 3370) follow the monthly pay schedule. The monthly pay period rate must be the monthly amount for these title codes. Readers and Tutors follow the bi-weekly pay schedule with an hourly rate. If a Reader or Tutor title is combined with one of the above monthly title codes, all pay follows the monthly pay schedule. Requires a new table in PPSDW. |

DOS code is 'REG' for title code 1501, 1506, 1511, 2288, 2289, 2310, 2500, 2850, 2860, 3240, 3253 and 3282. Only 'REG' is correct. DOS code is either 'REG' or 'WOS' for title code 3370. DOS code is 'PDS' for title code 9995. Do not check other 9995s for any purpose DOS code is not checked for the rest of the Graduate Studies title codes. |
