Administrative Bylaws

A major strength of the Department of Applied Science is its access to the scientists and facilities of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Many of the faculty have joint appointments with the LLNL. Nearly all students use the laboratory for their thesis research. LLNL facilities are some of the nation's best in the areas of atomic and molecular physics; computational physics; fusion technology; laser physics and nonlinear optics; materials science and condensed matter physics; plasma physics; and scientific computing.

This is a Departmentally-based Graduate Program.
