Administrative Bylaws
The group studies theories, methods, and accumulated research of human behavioral development across the life span. Each student will focus on a developmental domain (biological, cognitive, or social-emotional) and the contexts within which human development occurs (families, schools, hospitals, etc.), including factors that shape these contexts via social policy. Students may also choose to emphasize a life-cycle phase (i.e., infancy, adolescence, adulthood) within their primary domain. Applicants with prior work in human development, psychology, or physiology are particularly suited to the program. The degree prepares students for college teaching, research, administration of programs, consultation, program development, etc., in educational, medical and clinical settings.
This program is an interdisciplinary Graduate Group.
