THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO NEW STUDENTS
Students study the application of biology and technology for environmentally-safe management of agricultural pests and for profitable production of crops. Students may conduct independent research or participate in ongoing projects on integrated crop management and sustainable agriculture. Weeds, insects, plant pathogens, nematodes, rodents, and other pests are treated as parts of complex ecosystems. The program prepares students for careers as farm advisers, farm managers, pest control advisers and operators, agricultural consultants, and industrial sales and marketing specialists, and pest specialists with governmental agencies.
This program is an interdisciplinary Graduate Group.
