The Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) program at UC Davis is funded by the National Science Foundation to enhance the recruitment, retention, and professional development of underrepresented Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students. At UC Davis, AGEP consists of the Scholars program, a mentored summer research experience for incoming underrepresented graduate students. AGEP Scholars will work with AGEP staff and faculty to increase the recruitment, retention and doctoral completion of underrepresented minorities as well as to increase their placement in academic positions.

AGEP also hosts the STEM Preview Day, an event where prospective graduate students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields come together to learn more about UC Davis graduate programs and graduate student services.
