Prospective Students

If you are a prospective graduate student interested in applying for admission to a UC Davis academic graduate program, please use our convenient online admissions application system.

The fee to apply for admission is $80 (U.S.) or $100 (international). Transcripts of all your undergraduate and previous graduate study must be sent via mail to the graduate program of which you are applying. Please note that the Application Processing Fee is nonrefundable.

Using this application for admission, UC Davis awards a select few (approximately 25) prestigious fellowships to prospective graduate students. The fellowship descriptions may be found at gradstudies.ucdavis.edu/ssupport/prospectivefellowships.html. To be considered for one of these fellowships, you must submit your application for admission prior to 11:59:00 p.m. PST on January 15, or prior to your program’s final admission deadline, whichever is FIRST. These fellowships are awarded based solely on your application for admission, as there is not a separate fellowship application for these specific UC Davis graduate student fellowships.

Note: If you are applying to the Education Credential/M.A. program, the online application will not be open to receive your application until October 8. Please check back at that time.

Continuing Students

Each fall, Graduate Studies, in conjunction with the Graduate Council, conducts an Internal Fellowship competition for continuing academic graduate students. A "continuing student" is a student who has already been officially admitted to UC Davis and will be registered and enrolled in classes during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 academic years. The application for 2013-14 Continuing Student Internal Fellowships was open from September 21 to December 1, 2012, and is now closed. The application for 2014-15 academic year funding will open in September 2013.

General Information

The UC Davis online Graduate Admission Application is located on a secure Web server. Some Web browsers will not allow you to access a secure Web site. In such cases, you will get a message saying that you are being denied access. Supported browsers include: Internet Explorer for PC — all versions; Explorer for Mac — versions 4.6 and later.

It is very important to us that you have easy and successful access to the online application system. If you have a version equal to or greater than one of the above Web browsers, you should be able to access the UC Davis online application. If you do not, and you try and are unable to access the application or have other technical difficulties, please contact technical support at support@hobsons.com.
