UC Davis Announces 2021-2022 Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellows

UC Davis is pleased to announce this year's recipients of the Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellowships.

The Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program offers postdoctoral research support and faculty mentoring to outstanding scholars in all fields whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to the diversity and equal opportunity at the University of California (UC). The program shares its mission and applicant pool with its systemwide counterpart, the UC President's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP).

Established in 1984, the syistemwide program was created to encourage outstanding women and minority Ph.D. recipients to pursue academic careers within the UC.  Each year, the program seeks applicants with the potential to bring to their academic careers the critical perspective that comes from their non-traditional educational background or understanding of the experiences of members of groups historically underrepresented in higher education. Nearly 75 percent of UC President's Postdoctoral Fellows have received tenure track faculty appointments. Since 2003, more than 100 former fellows have received faculty appointments at University of California campuses.

“We are extremely fortunate to be able to welcome these outstanding scholars to UC Davis, said Ellen Hartigan-O’Connor, Associate Dean for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars.  Their pathbreaking research and commitment to diversity and equity in higher education will enrich their fields and the UC Davis community.”

The UC Davis Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program partners with sister programs sponsored by the UC Office of the President, the University of Michigan, and other UC campuses.
