The UC Carpentries Coding and Data Management 2025 Workshop Series, open to all University of California students, staff, and faculty, will take place online September 15-25. This nine-day workshop series is an opportunity for the University of California community to learn foundational concepts and skills in R (RStudio), Python (Jupyter Notebook), an introduction to the Unix Shell, Version Control with Git, SQL, OpenRefine, and Tidy Data. Whether you are a data novice or just looking to brush up on your skills, this free series has something for you!
UC data experts will teach each topic in standalone sessions, except R and Python, which have two parts. Instructors from UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSF, UC Merced, UC Santa Barbara, and UC San Diego are co-hosting and supporting the series.
