Josephine Moreno, Ph.D.
Graduate Diversity Officer
An alumna of UC Davis, Dr. Josephine Moreno is the Graduate Diversity Officer in Graduate Studies. Josephine earned her B.S. from UC Davis and Ph.D. from Iowa State University. Following a postdoctoral year at UC Davis, she was a faculty member at the University of Rhode Island. She comes to UC Davis from UC Berkeley where she was the Graduate Diversity Director in the Arts & Humanities Division. Dr. Moreno supports the inclusion of graduate students from all backgrounds.
In fact, scholarship demonstrates that research outcomes improve when a multiplicity of views are included. Also, research that embraces all communities benefits the rich society in which we all live and prepares a skilled workforce for policy, non-profit, scientific and academic careers.
