Graduate Program Coordinators Lauren Worrell and Rosaisela Rodriguez, recipients of 2021-2022 Outstanding Graduate Program Coordinator and Innovation Awards, were recently awarded further honors by NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising

Lauren Worrell has been awarded Winner of Region 9 Excellence in Advising - Advisor Primary Role and Rosaiela Rodriguez received the Certificate of Merit of Region 9 Excellence in Advising - Advising Administrator.

Native American Studies Department to Host Virtual Graduate Student Symposium

The 2021 symposium will be held virtually and will take place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST Monday, April 26, to Thursday, April 29. This year’s theme, “From Red Power to Wallmapu Libre and Land Back: Engaging Hemispheric Indigenous Resistance Movements,” hopes to facilitate a forum that recognizes and connects the continued relevance of Indigenous resurgence especially significant in recent events.

Alumnus Prem Jain Receives Cal Aggie Alumni Association's Distinguished Achievement Award

Prem Jain, M.S. ’77, tech entrepreneur and 2017 Graduate Studies Commencement speaker, is among this year's CAAA honorees. Jain will be formally presented with the Distinguished Achievement Award at the virtual  “A Night at the Aggies" event on  Friday, May 7. All alumni and community members are invited to attend, free of charge. CAAA will announce at a later date how people can watch the online event.

A Message from the Vice Provost and Dean: Planning for Fall 2021

As you know, UC Davis has been operating mostly remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic since early last March. We write to inform you that we expect that instruction and research operations will return to pre-pandemic, in-person delivery at the start of the next academic year in September 2021.
