Innovation Expert Robert B. Tucker to Deliver Graduate Studies Commencement Address

Author and business futurist Robert B. Tucker, ’78, will return to UC Davis as the keynote speaker for the 2018 Graduate Studies Commencement at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) Pavilion.

Known as one of the world’s top innovation speakers, Robert Tucker is a frequent contributor to publications such as Innovation Excellence, Strategy & Leadership, and Forbes, where he writes a column on innovation trends. He has published seven books to date, many of which have been translated for use by leaders and managers around the world, and has appeared as a guest expert on the series “The Business of Innovation” on CNBC.

Tucker has served as adjunct professor at UCLA, and has advised and coached over 200 of the Fortune 500 companies in over 50 countries, seeking to improve individual and organizational innovation performance. He will share his insights on innovation, creativity and resourcefulness with the 4,000 guests (including 650 participating graduate students and 300 faculty) at the 71st annual Graduate Studies Commencement Ceremony.

The Graduate Studies Commencement will also be shown live via a webcast on the UC Davis Commencement website for friends and family members unable to attend the ceremony.
